About

Hi, I’m Karen.

I am curious. I am passionate. I am always researching and learning.

I am a freelance writer and editor with a strong project management background based in Munich, Germany.

I hold degrees in psychology and communications studies from the University of Michigan which reflect my love for human-centered research and telling stories about the fascinating things I discover. My background also speaks to my personality and approach toward every project — simultaneously creative and organized. I’m skilled at seeking out trends and telling stories through the following mediums.

articles  –  blog posts  –  case studies  –  webpage copy  –  videos  –  brochures  –  catalogs  –  social media  –  events

Before freelancing, I worked at Steelcase, the world leader in office furniture, interior architecture and space solutions inspired by innovative research in workplace design. I was the assistant editor and project manager of 360 Magazine, a global publication focused on workplace research, insights, and trends. This position, along with over a year of freelance work, has given me rich experience in navigating the iterative, and often messy, creative process from beginning to end and working on multiple teams and projects at once.

I’d love to connect and learn more about you. Let’s create together.
